People’s Parish in Kinross, led by fieldworker Esther Kent along with Dougie MacKay, ran from autumn 2021-2022.

Working with local partners and contact organisations, the fieldworkers undertook action research that included:

  • mapmaking and storytelling

  • crafting map blocks

  • a community survey

  • an ABC of local distinctiveness

  • clever wish

This research yielded a variety of creative community productions:

  • Light up the Night - window displays with people and place theme

  • Community Celebration: an evening of music, song and story with contributions from community groups and individuals

  • Kinross TV

  • High Street Story Trail

  • Community Maps collection

  • Interactive Story Map

  • RECLAIM film about women reclaiming physical and digital space, and their own voices
